Mr. Dodd from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} We were pleased to hear that you arrived safely and that the car is running satisfactorily. As regards the rear springing, we arranged that that car should be sprung specially weak. According to the standard schedule of springing, the minimum weight of springs on that car at the rear should be 1800 and 1900 lbs. 1700 and 1800 lbs. springs are the weakest springs we stock. Any poundage below 1700 are so very rarely used that they are ordered specially. We do not think however that there is any chance of obtaining weaker springs at Nice or even at Paris. There is no harm in your writing to Nice and asking them whether they have such things - it might happen that they have got an odd pair. We should like however for you to confirm that there is no mistake in the springs fitted to 7-EX. Although they are intended to be 1700 and 1800 lbs. (and we believe contd :- | ||
