BY10-P13.3.34. contd. - 2 - We already point out that consistence of friction is essential - we should emphasize this fact as being more important than the variations in the actual load. We should also make it clear that by consistence of friction we mean that once the slipper has been started from rest it can be turned horizontally and regularly at a fixed load. We should carefully tabulate our notes on the drawing so that they all come as much as possible one below the other and in sequence, so that none are likely to be missed. We should bring in this alteration as soon as possible. Will the Works kindly let me know when they can adopt the whole of the changes, with the exception of the Continental Bakelite.
