BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} (5420). DAL/M31.12.27. INDIA 3. BRAKE MECHANISM. X.5380 X.5420 We send herewith M.schs.2532 and 2533 which shew an alternative arrgt. for the carrier levers, having the advantage that the angular motions of the cables are reduced a little. The disadvantages are the slightly increased loads in the linkage in front of the cables, and the modified drilling of the cross arms. We think however that it will be preferred to M.sch.2527 and suggest that it should be gone on with until we hear to the contrary. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
