A standard box has run 100 hours full torque on dynamometer on 3rd. gear using brass bushes. When recommended for Introduction: 101 in M Old Parts: Material £8.10.10, Labour £9.4.0, Burden £16.2.0, Total £33.16.10. New Parts: Material £8.12.3, Labour £9.6.10, Burden £16.6.11, Total £34.6.0. Introduction of overdrive gearbox at 1st. chassis in 'M' series involves scrapping of existing parts value £8/0.13.8d. this surplus being brought about by the fact that all material for Standard or Non-Overdrive type Gearbox was originally issued for first half of 'M' series.
