We have tried the above enamels and the Castrol Resisting Enamel was applied to a float chamber casting and then completely immersed in Castrol for 50 hours and appeared quite good castrol having no effect on the enamel. Should think it would be as well to obtain some more enamel and do a complete set of carburetters for an engine and see if we still get the same good results when the enamel is subject to the Oil and Petrol. Petrol Resisting Enamel was tried but when petrol is applied the enamel peels and rubs off, so don't think we need do any further with this. (Sgd) R.H.Coverley. | ||
