By Bentley - Petrol Pumps on Battery Box, and Filter on 2nd crossmember. With the large bore engine in hot weather we shall undoubtedly need the petrol pumps and filter moved from under the bonnet. We should, therefore, like to urge this job and we think it should be fitted to 6-B-IV for its forthcoming 10,000 miles test, in addition to being fitted to as many experimental cars as possible. The designs issued overcome the syphoning trouble and we believe the pumps when fitted in their new position will require some modifications to the valve spring loadings which can only be determined by development testing. The schemes are:- Lec.4670. Lec.4678. Lec.4734. Instructed. File E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
