Alternative moulded insulating materials like 'Condensite' and 'Bakelite' for battery ignition coil cases.

X. 2494 X. 3513 I have obtained several advertisements with reference to other moulded insulating material as well as Bakelite. Amongst them is one called "Condensite", which I believe is the material you are using for battery ignition coil cases. While looking into this matter will you try and find out whether this material is any easier to manipulate, or requires a simpler plant than Bakelite. A still more important point is, is it equally as good as regards maintaining its colour and condition in case of damp, strong sunlight etc. The Bakelite people seem to insinuate that their material is the only one which is permanent in this respect. It is assumed by us that it requires moderate hydraulic pressure with considerable heat to deal with this substance, in the same way as Bakelite, and that although the moulds are steel we should not have expected them to need hardening, except for enormous quantities.
