Bailey - Chief Engineer} Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Hr. ----------------- (1) REFERENCE THE COST PER MILE ON CHASSIS REPAIRS. The Conference were of the opinion that we should recommend that cars be overhauled after running 50,000 miles, instead of 20,000 miles, as at present. Also that a charge which does not exceed 11d. per mile is a fair charge to make as against the pre-war 1/3rd. It was agreed that CJ. be asked to agree to repairs being proceeded with, without his being informed on all overhauls which do not exceed 11d. per mile and that only those exceeding this figure should be reported to him. The above amounts of 11d. and 1/3rd apply to actual repairs only and are not inclusive of dismantling, re-erecting and testing, for which there is a definite fixed charge. | ||
