'V' SERIES CAR - TESTS IN FRANCE.

Owing to the failure of a valve due to a flaw, the pistons and cylinders were damaged on 98-NK car and we have had to change them.

We have had the car on the road since, and except for one or two items, we are very pleased with it.

We shall leave Derby on Wednesday morning, early.

We should be pleased if you will let us know where you would like the three cars to meet you?

We have provisionally arranged our programme for you to try the cars on Wednesday afternoon and the whole day on Thursday - we anticipate crossing over to France by the morning boat on Friday.

The delay on 98-NK car has enabled us to fit the fabric coupling to 44-PK. We have also fitted to this car a new steering. We hope therefore that we shall have overcome the faults which were complained of the last time you tried this car.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}
