Radio interference caused by C.A.V dynamo voltage regulator on R.R. and Bentley chassis.

Dear Sirs,

We have found that the best method of suppressing regulator noise on our chassis is by connecting a 1.0 micro farad paper wound condensers between the main positive dynamo terminal and earth, direct on the dynamo. Also metal braided cables must be used for the main positive dynamo wire from the dynamo to the regulator and for the dynamo field wire from the dynamo to the distribution fuse board, the braiding being well bonded to earth at each end and at intervals along its length.

Suitable cables and clips can be obtained in due course from ourselves on application to replace the existing cables.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
