The only work proceeding on these units is the pattern for the Crankcase T.H. and the Cylinder Head all other details instructed by the D.O. are held up, prints in the possession of WSC.{W. S. Cassel}

B.60.No.1.

In shop being re-assembled after 50 hours endurance running.
The cylinder bores are now being fitted with short inserts, FN. stated that the engine would be ready for test by Tuesday April 4th, incorporating the intermediate stage of Cylinder head EX.S.1383.

B.60.No.2.

Fitting in 29.G.VI.

B.60.No.3.

Development running on test bed.

B.60.No.4.

Allocated to 3.B.50. FN. promised to have ready for test Monday April 3rd. the strengthened tapped door to ECD.1243 is to be incorporated.

B.60.No.5 & 6 Units.

These are two new units for which we have just received the specifications. The crankcase T.H. EB.4669 is to suit 2.750 dia journal Crankshaft. the pattern for the B.60 is to be corrected as soon as the Castings have been taken off, as requested in HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}9/BA.24.2.39.
Complete specifications will be issued in a day or so.
