FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} C. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} LES See me HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} x5500. x5600. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. DASHBOARD FIXING, AND SIDE WHEEL CARRIER. We send herewith N. sch. 3414. showing the dashboard fixing and side wheel carrier. We have shown the dashboard attached to the frame in such a way as to hold it torsionally, and also a stay to the side wheel carrier. We suggest that you make tests to discover the value of these two items. It may be found that the stay to the wheel carrier is not needed, or alternatively that with the stay the stiffener is not required. The head of the wheel carrier - i.e. the plate and bolt are as standard on 25HP. We do not know what the washers on the plate, held to it by set screws, are for, and suggest that since they are called for to be fitted when the carrier is in position on the chassis, they must be costly. They should be deleted if possible. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
