EFC. should say if we can have other types of magnetos. I have no preference, but -

(1) Must go in space available.
(2) Must not be very heavy.
(3) Must be reliable, and as simple and inexpensive as possible.
(4) Must not destroy jump spark distributor.

In some ways it is important that it can start the engine by the hand starter, as battery may be down when this is put in action. I had a case and found it difficult: succeeded by making one pair of plug points very close.

Does it follow that with jump spark distributor we must have inductor type magneto or we destroy our distributor points ?
