We sent you a telegram this morning: "Crofts left for Derby Wife and Child ill Stop Braziers wife ill Wants to return Derby Wire instructions."

We have to-day finished fitting one engine foot and have started on the other. It was necessary to bed the foot to the frame, there being a difference of .020" between the frame and the engine foot. We have carried out consumption tests on the 20-HP and the figures for 100 miles have worked out at 17.16 M.P.G. with an average speed of 37.4 M.P.H. This we believe is good for 20-HP consumption. It has been attained solely by increasing the water temperature to 80/85° which enabled us to reduce the high speed jet. We do not think there will be anything to stop us leaving here with the S.S. on Thursday morning. The photographs if possible will be taken on Wednesday as you suggested in your letter.
