Comparison of cooling performance between Marston Mark III, Harrison film, and R.R. hexagon radiator matrices under various test conditions.

Marston Mark III is 6.20°C cooler than R.R. hexagon matrix.
Harrison film matrix is 13°C cooler than R.R. hexagon matrix.

(4) 60 M.P.H. Full Bonnet ventilation.

Marston Mark III is 6.850°C cooler than R.R. hexagon matrix.
Harrison film matrix is 20.9°C cooler than R.R. hexagon matrix.

(5) 30 M.P.H. Full throttle Full bonnet ventilation.

Marston Mark III radiator is 8.9°C cooler than R.R. hexagon matrix.
Harrison Film matrix is 22.50°C cooler than R.R. hexagon matrix.

(6) 30 M.P.H. Full throttle. No bonnet ventilation.

Marston Mark III radiator is 9.250°C cooler than R.R. hexagon matrix.
Harrison Film radiator is 23.95°C cooler than R.R. hexagon matrix.

N.B.
These matrixes are only about 21.5" x 21.5", i.e. considerably smaller than the maximum possible area which is normally used in the standard radiator; The Harrison matrix gives ample cooling even with this size; a simple rectangle block is much easier and less costly to make then the rather complicated shape of our standard matrix, i.e. pieces cut off each corner, hole for the starting handle tunnel, hole for the thermostat shutter controls to pass through.

We are keeping 22-EX until we have completed one or two tests on the Colt Fan, there also remains the silencer comparison to get on 19.G.IV.
