Sir Charles Craven,
I.C.I. Offices,
Millbank,
Westminster.

Dear Sir Charles,

We had a visit from Sir John Salmon on Saturday last and showed him both the 13.2 and 40 mm. guns.

He confirmed the urgency of the 13.2 and this is receiving every possible priority from the design and experimental point of view.

We should still like to contact someone responsible for aerodrome defence who could give us a lead as to how they would propose to use the 40 mm. gun.

Presumably, as you suggest, it would be someone on Admiral Evans's staff.

Yours sincerely,
