With reference to memo' Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}15/KW.12.9.35, of which Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} has let me have a copy. I have looked into this job and find that we were instructed by Mr. D'Aith of BY's Department to fit G.82312 Spring. Owing to a misunderstanding between the D.O. and the Experimental, the former gave us the detail N.Sch.4320 instead of N.Sch.4298.

However, as far as we are concerned the Springs G.56217 are available and can be fitted as soon as the Test Dept. can release the Gear Boxes in question.
