SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENT TO RR DISTRIBUTOR

(1) Bronze distributor bearing for advance or retard movement.

Reason:-
To prevent the rapid wear of the bearing surfaces which produces side play or sloppiness of the distributor tower.

(2) 100% longer rubbing clock (normal to cam)

Reason:-
To offset the contact points from the cam to prevent oil being thrown off cam onto the points, and to automatically increase the spring pressure.

(3) Felt packing washer to be introduced over the top distributor bearing.

Reason:-
To soak up surplus oil from the bearing and provide an effective seal against oil fumes.
