Bailey - Chief Engineer} /Mtn21/N25.10.28. We have also had a copy of letter from Messrs Lucas. We note they say they have overcome the difficulties relating to the 160.S. - i.e. new suggested type for 20 HP. With regard to smaller model of the P.100. judging from our former experience of Lucas's, it will be many many months before these are available and the price will be so high that we shall be unable to standardise them. We think, therefore, it would be as well for you to ask for information on these two points. We rather understood it was their intention to drop manufacturing the lamp we at present use on the 20 HP. - i.e. RB. {R. Bowen} 65. and that all the other firms who use a similar lamp, would be using 160.S. and if they have overcome the defects you pointed out, we think we again ought to consider the question of standardising this lamp in place of the RB. {R. Bowen} 65. otherwise it rather looks as if we shall be continuing to supply a lamp which is out-of-date. Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
