EXTRACT FROM :- X674 Rn.{Mr Robinson} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to AJL. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/WJ.27.2.30. QUARTERLY COMPLAINTS OF 20 HP. & PHANTOM. Points which need Experimental attention are as follows :- (1) 20 HP. SLIPPER WHEEL. This appears to be one of the worst complaints and we ought to make a move either to the simple low inertia type, or the centrifugally loaded one. I believe, however, one of the essential features which must go with the new slipper wheel is an improved dynamo drive. The only reason one can see why the 20 HP. gives more trouble than the Phantom, is because the dynamo rattles occur easily on the 20 HP. and therefore the slipper wheel setting is much more critical. There is a scheme about somewhere which uses a dynamo drive like the Phantom 11. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
