Herewith we send N. schs. 3340/43/45., dealing with the rear axle and brakes.

As regards N. sch. 3345. - Rear Axle Tube - it will be seen that we give two alternatives. R.{Sir Henry Royce} is inclined to prefer the upper one as being probably easier to produce and looking more logical. Will Derby please confirm as regards the production.

With reference to N. sch. 3343., if Derby have any comments to make on the pressing which forms the hub for the brake gear would they please send them to us.

It will be noticed that we have sent the present standard type of brake rather than the locomotive type: the latter is being sent as a separate experiment.
