HIVES - MINUTE CRACK FOUND IN EXHAUST VALVE SEAT OF NUMBER FOUR ENGINE. SUGGEST IT IS NOT LOSS OF WATER BUT EXPLOSIVE STRESS WITH EXPANSION STRESSES WHICH CAUSES FAILURE.
EXAMINE HEADS WHICH HAVE DONE MUCH WORK, TEST WITH EXTRA HIGH COMPRESSION AND BAD DETONATIONS ALSO HYDRAULICALLY TO FIND PRESSURE NECESSARY TO FRACTURE.
