3. The tappets were set at .012". The adjustment necessary was negligible, and no exhaust valve lost more than .002 clearance throughout the mileage. The standard of silence was equal to the hydraulic tappets, and did not deteriorate during the running. No breakages occured either with the standard Bentley valve springs or with those produced at the Tempered Spring Co. ----------------- Flywheel and clutch LOP.G.85761.
