C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. CYLINDER HEAD.

We send you herewith a print of LeC.2980 shewing improvements to the gas bends on the above.

From an inspection of the actual head brought here by HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, R.{Sir Henry Royce} thought that some increase of sectional area was desirable.

The inlet bends are now receiving attention in the same way, and particulars will follow with regard to these.

RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} is going to send us some cut up sections of the J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. head is these are available.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
