-2- 12.B.V. RH.{R. Hollingworth} reported that he would have this chassis ready for the Coachbuilders before the Easter recess. Engine Unit is required for this chassis. This car is to represent the first 50 production for 15,000 miles trials. Handwritten Note: MOCK UP OUT OF 10B TO GO IN 12B FOR COACHBUILDERS AND SUBSEQUENTLY UNIT OUT OF 14B. 14.B.V. Continental. This car is now at the Coachbuilders in France, due back mid April, and is to be completed and passed to test by mid-May. All the details to suit 12 x 41 Rear Axle are instructed. An All Helical Overdrive Gear Box is also to be fitted. The engine unit for this chassis as instructed is B.V.No.1 Unit. As this is an old unit HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} asked Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls} and Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} to review same, as it was suggested that as this car is to do 15,000 miles trials a more up to date unit would be more suitable. Handwritten Note: W3 NO 10 ALLOTTED 3.B.50(15,000 miles trials) This car is now back from the coachbuilders, and being brought up to the specification for 15,000 miles trials. It was stated by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} that B.V.No.3 Gear Box with standard ratio gears was to be fitted, pending the completion of an all Helical stand ratio box which would be sent out to France. The Engine Unit is B.50.No.4. Handwritten Note: ENGINE ON TEST MONDAY APRIL 4TH 4.B.50. The frame is due before Easter. HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} requested RH.{R. Hollingworth} to weigh up the specification and anticipate a date when he would be ready to despatch to the Coachbuilders. This information is required by Monday April 3rd. CHASSIS PASSED TO TEST.
