To Sr. from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} re B.III - now to be known as B.V. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}9/B161138 Many thanks for your Sr2/BT.{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer}11.11.38 which contains very interesting comparisons of tests between three cars. I quite agree that in this class the demand for improved performance seems to be a constant one. With the Lagonda and other competition we are rather up against it. You were present, I think, at Derby when we discussed the question of developing the Continental species of Bentley like the Continental Phantom. We are having a chassis conference at Derby next week and shall be discussing the matter further but it must necessarily be a fairly long time before we can offer a car with considerably increased performance and maximum speed.
