X. 4333 ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To: EFC Order No: AB.91. Customer's No: 1 Date: 5 Nov 1923 Modified Goshawk Dynamo Springs A set of Goshawk dynamo springs was recently received from Mr. Coverley in which the spiral is wound much more openly than in the standard springs. A greater length of material is thus used in making them, & consequently the pressure is more uniform throughout the range of motion allotted by brush wear. Fitted to a dynamo, the new main springs each exerted a pressure changing from 6 lb to 8 lb over the range of motion. An old main spring gave a variation of from .75 lb to 11 lb. The new main springs extend slightly further from their carriers (contd) Signed This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. RR 238 (300 Bks.) (SF 152. 6-11-18.) MP 197880 | ||
