X1033 To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} c. to Wst. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/KW.27.4.36. Stromberg Carburetter and Ventilated Dynamo. Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} points out that if any adjustment has to be made to the Stromberg carburetter, petrol will inevitably fall on the brush gear of the ventilated dynamo. We fitted a simple shield on Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}'s and Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s cars: I do not think this can interfere with the efficiency of the ventilation of the dynamo, but Wst. might check up. If O.K. it might be considered for production.
