Central Lubrication.      BJ14/E27.2.28.

When at the Works the other day in connection with HRH. Prince of Wales' visit, we were very pleased to see the progress that had been made in the Experimental Department in connection with fitting the above to a 40/50 HP. Chassis.

This question of central lubrication is becoming a rather a serious matter, as now that it is standardised on so many other cars, it naturally creates a demand for it on our car, and the fact that it is fitted to the American RR. has also made difficulties for us in this respect.

I understand that the question of adapting it for the 20 HP. is not so far forward as on the Phantom, but from a Sales point of view it is almost more urgent on the 20HP. because the lubrication on a chassis is a thing which is a source of trouble to owner-drivers, and there are more owner-drivers amongst owners and prospective purchasers of the 20 HP. than the Phantom.

Perhaps, therefore, you could ask WW. to proceed as rapidly as possible with any design work in connection with its adaption on the 20 HP. and also instruct W. on the urgency of the matter from the time they receive the designs.

I know you all have a great deal of important and urgent work in hand, but am sure you will wish to have Sales views on this subject.

BJ.
