BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/M13.9.32. Copy to - HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} PEREGRINE & BENSPORT WHEELS. X 456 X4553 We wish to point out that on these cars we are reckoning on using the 18" rim and 5.5" section tyre. On the bodies with wheels in the back half let in to the panelling it will be impossible to change to the 17" rims and 6" section tyre, and on all the bodies the clearances in the wheel arches will be inadequate for this large section tyre. You have now had some road experience with the first Peregrine and we should be glad if you would definitely tell us whether you think we shall have to go to the 17" rim and 6" ty-re. For want of production drawings of the rims and tyres we have made up from your RR. scheme a drawing and the bodies. are being made to this. This step has been made necessary if we are to maintain our programme of dates. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
