RE NEW MAGNETO DRIVES FOR 40/50 CHASSIS.
In reply to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG3.2.20. we originally arranged for a drum on both the fabric coupling and the serrated magneto drive so that a brake could be put on if necessary, and informed Mr. Royce that we did this because we thought it would be found that the timing gear would chatter. We were, however, instructed not to fit a brake drum. We shall, however, perhaps be in order in making provision for one, in view of the results of your experiment.
