STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS.
Description of Parts. GOSHAWK. FIXED BUSHES FOR SPRING EYES.
Origin. To prevent wear on holes in top leaves of springs.
Experimental Test Report. It is found that the hole in the spring leaf wears oval which is an expensive job to correct when the car comes in for repair. The 20 H.P. is the first time we have used floating bushes in spring eyes. We also have difficulty in getting the necessary finish in holes for a floating bush.
Road Test Report. This is only reverting to a practice we have always used on the 40/50.
