BENTLEY V PRODUCTION.

(OIL PIPE FROM PUMP TO RELIEF VALVE.)

We have satisfactorily fitted and tried the scheme RCD.1264 to release B.V. production. This is a modification to the position of the oil pipe from the pump to the relief valve and includes olive joints as against the normal standard nuts and nipples, the reason for the modification being to clear the cross steering tube, which in the old system was fouling the pipe.

The position of the new pipe is well clear.

In rigging up on 9.B.V. the external main bearing feed pipe from the pump to the crankcase (also new) fouled an exhaust support stud on the lower half, we understand, however, that there is no such stud on the latest B.V. lower half.
