Re: CHASSIS GUL.4 - PARIS TRIALS CAR
---------------------------------------

Sr. has asked me to drop you a line concerning his conversation with you on the telephone last Thursday evening, on the subject of the steering of the above car, about which it seems Mr. Pisart, our Brussels Agent, complained as being most unsatisfactory on bad roads, by which we presume he means Belgian paved roads. (Please refer to copy of Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}'s memo, viz. Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}23/T.14.9.36, which was sent to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}).

It is now our intention to make comparative tests over certain bad roads with the above car and one of our former 20/25 H.P. Trials Cars.

Sr. thinks that it will be better to hold up the sending of the "R.R". steering, as arranged on the telephone, until we know the results of the test which we will make as soon as possible.

VA.
