Ph. C. to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}4/JH. 12th. March, 1940. C.Ward, Esq., Messrs. Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, LONDON.N.W.10. Dear Mr. Ward, We want to install in the Design Dept. a small blue print machine to enable us to get the office boy to run off odd prints of drawings up to the size of 26" x 19" quickly for rush jobs in the Works. All the bulk printing would still be carried out by the Blue Print Room, with the usual delay due to evacuation of 5 to 7 days. We know you coachbuilders have had such machines and wonder whether you could put us in touch with anyone who has such a machine for disposal. We recall that you said you knew where to get second hand furniture for your offices and thought, therefore, you might be able to help us in this matter. If you can locate what appears to be a suitable machine, would you kindly let us know its make and what it is like, its price and where it can be seen. With many apologies for troubling you. Yours faithfully, Chassis Design Office. | ||
