Phantom III Chassis.
We attach herewith a list of the design work completed on the above chassis since our last list (E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}1/NP.19.4.37) and in addition particulars of work at present in hand.
Designs have been issued for threaded shackles on the rear suspension to be tried out experimentally as a remedy for excessive wear of the present type of plain shackle.
We have issued a design for a strengthened connecting rod, following on the failures on the Nairobi car.
Designs for a simpler type of synchromesh mechanism have been instructed.
