The engine of this car is well up to standard performance on road and bench tests. We do not agree that it has any high speed periodic vibration. (2) CLUTCH. We have not experienced either of the troubles mentioned. (3) BRAKES. We think these are very good. The servo gears are experimental and have been condemned. (4) STEERING. We think that this is well up to standard We do not agree that it is woolly or lacks selectivity. (5) SUSPENSION. We do not agree that this lacks damping. R.{Sir Henry Royce} criticised this suspension as being over-damped if anything. We agree with him. Hartfords were fitted at the rear so that any desired damping could have been obtained. We have not observed the pitching complained of. (6) STARVATION. We have been able to reproduce your fault by using a highly volatile petrol (Swan 680) - it is due to the petrol boiling in the petrol filter. This matter is receiving attention.
