Messrs. S. Smith & Sons Ltd.,
Cricklewood Works,
LONDON, N.W.2.

Your ref: E.1.POD.

For the attention of Mr. Dorer.

Dear Sir,

Referring to your letter of the 4th inst., for which we thank you, you state that you do not understand our request for a drawing showing the strengthening of the capillary at the point where it joins the bulb. We would refer you to our letter of April 15th in which we ordered a thermometer to DE.1360 (for a Bentley car) and requested you to provide the above mentioned strengthening if possible. Since we have not heard to the contrary from you, we assume that you provided some form of strengthening as requested and it is a drawing of this modification that we require as well as the incorporation of the modification on the thermometer to D.75953 ordered in our letter of the 30th ult.

Further we would refer you to your Mr. Nichol's letter of the 3rd inst., promising the drawing we requested.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE, LIMITED.
