22nd December, 1936.

Messrs. Dunlop Rim & Wheel Co.Ltd.,
Poleshill,
Coventry.

For the attention of Mr. Sharp.

Dear Sirs,

We have been having a lot of trouble lately with creaking road wheels.

The tapers have been checked on the wheel shells and the retaining nuts and we have found that we are only bedding on 30% to 50% of the taper.

We are returning for your attention.

10 Phantom III wheels and
8 retaining nuts.

Will you please have these made a good fit.

We have a further 5 wheels of the 5 rim type to follow for alteration.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
