With reference to our comments on the 20/25 complete car weight at the last Conference, the following is a summary of the information given at the Conference. Your Car, GLO-5, without wireless & heater weighs 41 1/2 cwts. GLO-2 which as far as we know has an exactly similar body with regard to accommodation, but is built by Young, weighs - 37 1/2 cwts. Somehow, therefore, there is a difference of 420 lbs. between the 2 cars. As far as we can recollect, not very long ago 38 cwts. for a complete 20/25 was considered heavy. We think it would be worth investigating where some of this additional weight has come from. From our end we are going over the chassis. Ha/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
