From Exp. Dept. Copies for: Mr Johnson Mr Royce Mr Hadin Report on Experiment No.269 "Wood-Milne" Foot tyre Pump. One of these pumps has been in use for 3 weeks and so far is in good order. It is very compact and the weight is 7½ lbs. An ordinary double acting hand pump weighs 6 lbs. It is fairly easy to blow up to about 70 lbs pressure but after that it is rather hard. Our tyre man says it is less fatiguing to use than a hand pump when several tyres have to be inflated. It is really a matter of personal opinion as to which is the easier pump to operate. I recommend that we obtain one or two more so that they may be tried by several people. The one we have has been used a great deal and so far has been very reliable. | ||
