261 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 27th March, 1939. S. Evershed, Esq., "Hillside", Stapenhill, BURTON-on-TRENT. Dear Sydney, Many thanks for your letter regarding Cox's Bentley, B.L.P.990. Presumably your friend intends to keep the car and run it 30 or 40,000 miles and, therefore, to ensure that he gets reasonably trouble-free motoring, I think he will have to spend £25 to £30 on the engine. I think it is much better to do this than to get some annoying trouble later on, and, therefore, shall recommend it unless I hear from you to the contrary. Yours sincerely, | ||
