x o o a [handwritten] To I.M. Waller, Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}16/KW.22.9.36. Please note, we have sent out to you for fitting to 6-B-IV, one large cast manifold and downtake pipe to replace the present standard fittings. We should like your opinion as to how these parts affect the exhaust system with regard to "boom", tail pipe noise and "titter". Also, will you please let me know exactly where the intermediate silencer has failed on 6-B-IV and if you require a new one complete. The pipe inside the silencer is not standard, it being made of perforated sheet steel. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/G.H.Whyman. | ||
