Derby.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

I acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 19th inst., together with the weight scale compiled by Mr. Evernden.

The information contained in the latter, and the remarks in your letter under reply, have been carefully noted and I would assure you that every endeavour is being made to keep the weight of body 2-R-2 down to the absolute minimum.

Whilst of course, you appreciate we cannot agree at this juncture, to get down to the estimated weight of 7½ cwts, every effort will be made to do so.

Yours sincerely,
for PARK, WARD & CO LTD.

Works Director.
