INTRODUCTION OF NEW TYPES OF CHASSIS.

Some time ago, when we were discussing the rationalised range of cars, Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} pointed out that in the case of the 8-cylinder Bentley it would be possible to announce this car any time since it was a new model.

The same thing applies to the Ripple, but we are not sure whether the Silver Phantom is in a similar position.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has recommended that we should allow the Factory to produce some of the high power type of engine before they swing over completely on to the new design next October.

In view of the generally satisfactory running of 30.G.VII in France, we think it very probable that we shall be prepared to release the material for an 8-cyl. model in about three months' time. Since the parts which are not already on production will be confined almost entirely to the engine, we do not see why it should take longer than three months to get the necessary material which should enable some chassis to be produced for the spring selling season.

In point of fact, there are a large number of parts on the 8-cyl. unit that we should be prepared to release now.
