Dear Robotham,

Thanks very much for yours of the 9th September and for so kindly pursuing the Dickinson Pump matter. I took the liberty of passing your comment to my friend Robertson who is interested and he, in turn, consulted with Dickinson the Inventor. Mr.Dickinson writes me as per copy attached.

May I explain that we have had this Pump under consideration for some time and our Engineers have expressed the opinion that it has possibilities. The Inventor claims that the Pump is definitely superior to anything so far designed but he is a difficult customer in that he will not divulge the whole of the facts of the patent.

The Napier folk have carried out a number of tests and appear to be very interested but the real opinion which will sway us is your own. I would like to
