Dear Sirs: We have been receiving inquiries for descriptive literature on the MORAND CUSHION WHEEL and MORAND DEMOUNTABLE CUSHION ELEMENT from the various automotive dealers throughout your territory. This convinces us that many of your customers are in need of MORAND CUSHION WHEELS, and we know that if you will show them how the MORAND combines the flexibility of pneumatics, with the reliability of solids, you can undoubtedly increase your sales 100%. In this connection, we submit the following for your consideration and approval: The basic principle of the Morand Standard Cushion Wheel is the introduction of a resilient rubber cushion, bolted top and bottom, within steel channels, between the wheel felloe and the solid tire base. This rubber cushion provides added resiliency equally distributed about the circumference of the wheel and results in prolonging the life of the truck, motor and tires. Furthermore, Morand Cushion Wheels not only appreciably increase the duration of service of the truck, but also materially reduce the cost of truck maintenance. Because of the remarkable results shown by Morand Cushion Wheels, in actual operation, we take pride in pointing out to prospective buyers of our wheels that this is not a narrow statement of specific performance under particular conditions, but is instead, inclusive of all conditions under which a motor truck operates. The Morand Demountable Cushion Element is a special adaptation of the rubber cushion element designed to interchange with, or replace, any pneumatic truck tire without wheel change. It embodies all the resiliency features of the Morand Standard Cushion Wheel.
