X.3521. Subject:- Generator for Rolls-Royce Chassis. X.294 X.1402 Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your letter of 5th inst., and very much regret to learn that you have unfortunately been stricken with this influenza epidemic, and we trust that you are now quite recovered. We are pleased to note that you are interested in the matter of the Thermostat Control and we are accordingly ordering one of these form our Company which we trust we can let you have at an early date. We appreciate funamentally that there is a considerable difference in theory between Thermostatic Control and Tyrrell constant voltage control, but as pointed out in our recent letter to you the actual results obtained are so very nearly the same as with the voltage control, that we feel optimistic that after test you may consider the possibility of adopting the Thermostatic scheme. The Thermostat itself, although small, is of extremely rugged construction and the force which opens and closes the Thermostat points is by no means delicate, so that from a point of view of reliability the Thermostat system is as reliable as the Tyrrell Control. We thank you for your interest in this matter and will communicate with you further immediately we receive the actual Generator from our Works. Yours faithfully, Sgd W H Kennington Consulting Engineer. WATER H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} JOHNSON. | ||
