X.1238 W/E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} To H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RECEIVED OCT 14 1920 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}10/LG11.10.20. X.1238 RE RAPSON TYRES. A Rapson tyre fitted to a Dunlop wheels weighs 102 lbs. compared with 79 lbs. for the Dunlop Magnum. At present we have only run these tyres for a short distance. It is noticeable, however, that the steering is not as nice with Rapson tyres as with Dunlop Magnums. One of the big disadvantages we see in the Rapson tyre is the cost. The trade price of a complete Rapson trye is approx: £28 compared with approx: £15 for the Dunlop Magnum. We will let you have more information in regard to these tyres when we have had more experience.
