Dear Mr. Robotham, I have for some days been attempting to unearth a copy of the current edition of the Stromberg Plain Tube booklet, but without success. Pending the arrival of a fresh batch of these booklets from America, I am sending you herewith two copies of the original edition of this booklet together with two copies of edition 3 of the Stromberg Aircraft Manual, both of which I think may be of interest to you. I have been expecting to hear from you concerning the test of a Stromberg carburetter which we discussed at our last meeting. I hope that all is going well with this work and that good progress is being made. Some days ago I had a telephone conversation with one of your staff concerning a new dual Stromberg carburetter for test on this car. I mentioned that we had one model of the E.E.3. type, whihh is a dual carburetter having the same throttle bore as the single carburetter now on test at your works. I am, however, of the opinion that this carburetter would be somewhat large for your job and would suggest that in the event of your wishing to test a dual carburetter that we should send you an E.E.2, which is a smaller dual carburetter and might be more suitable for the capacity of your engine. continued | ||
